Quilombo Centro Cultural was founded by a handful of people with a lot of appreciation and love for afro-Brazilian music and culture, whose main goal was to attract people who wanted to participate in Brazilian percussion or dance, whether they had previous experience in these or not. Towards that end, it was decided that our samba school is going to work on a non-profit basis, which is what is still happening today. Nowdays, our school has grown in numbers and we have more than 60 members. Our presence and participation in festivities, street carnivals and clubs has been successfully going on for many years, with performances in numerous places in Greece.
