Mercantia is a project on street art that is absolutely original and unrepeatable. It contains many different requests and requirements of street art. First of all each show is placed in an exceptional setting, the ancient medieval village of Certaldo. And this makes Mercantia an extraordinary showcase, the largest in Italy, where artists come from all over Europe. The shows, over 60 per night, which are presented at a continuous pace in fifteen different spaces, the quality of the same, the urban enviroment, the many side events, the general atmosphere of the party, have made the success of this eventable to reach about 50.000 paying spectators per edition.
