"Infiorata" is realised by colouring big drawings in streets or squares with brightly coloured flowers. It is very popular in the central part of Italy and it accompanies ceremonies and celebrations. Thanks to its communication and aggregation potential, since 1998 the theatral company Teatrinviaggio wanted to promote this ancient ritual in the most various contexts and situations. The "audience" of the Infiorata is not made up of passive spectators, but it becomes a co-author of the artistic event. Spectactors are infact directly involved in the coloration of the drawing: they are invited by the performers to take part to the event putting colored sawdust on the ground.
