Gerace is a jewel of Norman, Byzantine and Renaissance architecture. Carved into the rock, on a hill overlooking the Ionian Sea, it is a maze of alleyways where culture and wilderness slide into one another. The Borgo Incantato festival reflects the complex artistic identity left by the foreign dominations, the melting of traditions and cultures. Gerace is a meeting point of cultures, arts and suggestions from around the world, but also a perfect setting to rediscover the taste (in the true sense of the word) of tradition: music, lights, emotions of street art, blended with the sublime tastes of the Gerace food, offered in the houses, in the cellars, on the terraces by the hospitable inhabitants of the village.
