INSPIRATION
A poetic performance about loneliness in old age. For lack of time, in the name of progress and of the rapid evolution of society, the elderly are being forgotten, sometimes even abandoned by friends and family. Gone are their successes, their conquests, their dedication to work over the years and they are simply ALONE. They wandering through the city waiting for a change, for something to happen or just for time to pass by. Alone. At a bench. In the emptiness of a day…

TECHNIQUE: Duration of the performance – 30 minutes Public – ca. 300 people Space for performance – ca. 8 x 8 metres (minimum) The public may be sitting on benches Bench – 5m length / 3,5m height / 1,5m width (Disassembled in peaces of 1,5m for transportation) The bench’s exhibition and safety as a visual installation is of full responsibility of the Festival. Assembly – 2 hour (beginning the latest 3 hours before the piece begins) Dismonting – 1 hour Location accessible to a van. - :
